SOUTH GRAND OAK RESIDENCE

2,700 square foot home in Pasadena, California.

Originally only 1,560 square feet, the client requested that we add an additional 1,200 square feet of living space for their family of 5. However, we were also requested to do these additions while preserving the profile and character of the small, cottage style home as visible from the street.

The entire house was gutted with the exception of the kitchen and the master bathroom. Remodels included the living and dining rooms, the master bedroom, all hallways, the bathroom, and the second bedroom. Additions included a new stairwell to the second floor which included an office, reading room, family room, mechanical closet, and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. All of the existing built-ins were saved to maintain the interior character of the house.
